Family #8: Destiny - ADOPTED

Destiny is a mother of four children, with her fifth child on the way. After being abused physically, sexually, & mentally from ages 7-13, she grew up in foster care. Following high school, she moved from Florida to Pennsylvania, where she was stranded and stayed in a shelter to get help. Destiny has experienced many challenges with her two older children related to custody. Regardless of the challenges she has faced, she has worked to rise above for the sake of her children. She has a full-time job and works part-time as a food delivery driver to make ends meet. She considers all of her children as blessings from God. Destiny’s goals are to work every day to show her children that their mom is working hard, to find safe housing for herself and her family, and to finish school and graduate with her GED.
